This self-paced 5-module online training explores how service organizations and practitioners can implement policies and practices to increase inclusivity of immigrant families, and how trauma-informed practice can be tailored to address the unique experiences of immigrant families. It also includes discussion of a model for implementing immigrant specialist navigators within organizations.

Supporting Immigrant Children and Families in the Child Welfare System: Challenges & Best Practices for Child Welfare Agencies & Practitioners

This free online training, offered via New Mexico State University’s Global Campus, addresses the unique challenges and opportunities when working with immigrant children and families in the child welfare system. It is geared toward child welfare agency administrators, practitioners, and other stakeholders. Three free social work CEUs are available.
