The need for individual states to  accommodate migrants was addressed at the meeting of the National Governor’s Association, and while Utah has not been asked to accommodate an migrants, it would be difficult for the state to refuse, due to their prominent voice in discussion of immigration reform in which they have been encouraging a compassionate approach towards migrants.
