Trump’s Next Immigration Target: People Living Legally in US After Disaster Struck Their Countries

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced that it will be terminating protections for 2,500 Nicaraguans as of January 2019. The DHS has yet to come to a decision about whether or not they will extend the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) program for 57,000 Hondurans, as well as thousands of immigrants from El Salvador and Haiti.
